If you have called around about pest control SEO, you have probably heard prices all over the map. One agency quotes a few hundred dollars a month. The next quotes several thousand. They both say they do “SEO.” So what gives, and what should you expect to pay?
Here is the honest version.
The typical range
The best data we have on SEO pricing comes from an Ahrefs poll of 439 SEO providers. Most of them (78%) charge a monthly fee. Of those, about 69% charge $2,000 a month or less, and about 31% charge more than $2,000.
Here is a rough map of what you tend to get at each level:
- Low end (a few hundred a month): Often basic work. Some on-page tweaks, a Google Business Profile cleanup, maybe a little content. Can be fine for a small operation in a quiet town, or can be barely-there effort on autopilot.
- Middle (around $1,000 to $2,000 a month): Ongoing technical work, content, Google Business Profile work, and reporting.
- High end (well over $2,000 a month): Bigger agencies with more overhead. Sometimes excellent. Sometimes the same work as the middle tier with a bigger invoice and a slicker dashboard.
The important thing: a high monthly fee is not proof of better results. Look at what is included and how success is measured.
Why the spread is so wide
Three things drive the range:
- The pricing model. Some agencies charge one flat monthly fee. Others add a fee for every lead, so a busy month costs you more. These produce very different invoices for the same work.
- Overhead. A big agency with account managers, a sales team, and an office passes those costs to you. A lean shop does not.
- What is actually included. “SEO” can mean a single automated audit, or it can mean real content, real tracking, and a human who answers the phone.
What you should actually be paying for
Forget the task list for a second. The only questions that matter:
- How many qualified leads is this producing?
- What is the cost per lead, and per booked job?
- Can I see exactly where my leads come from?
If an agency cannot answer those, the price does not matter, because you have no way to know if any of it is working.
That is why every plan we sell includes call and form tracking and a plain-English report every month (calls, forms, and rankings). Our price is a flat $1,000 a month. No fee per lead, so a big month never means a bigger bill. The $1,000 covers a custom website on your own domain, hosting and security, local SEO, Google Business Profile work, on-page and technical SEO, call and form tracking, monthly reporting, and unlimited edits. You own all of it. No contract, no setup fees, and you can cancel any month. We work with one pest control company per city. See the full details on our pricing page.
As for proof: for our client Mack Pest Solutions in Greenville, SC, the average Google position for “pest control Greenville SC” went from #19 (June to October 2025) to #9 (August to October 2026). From June to September 2026, Google search brought them about 19 taps on the call button and 10 quote form submissions a month. The details are in the Mack Pest Solutions case study.
The pest control advantage
Here is the good news for pest control companies: a lot of pest control searches come from people with a problem right now. Someone searching “exterminator near me” after finding termites or bed bugs is not browsing for fun. They want the problem gone.
The job values back this up. A one-time visit runs about $300 to $550. Termite treatment runs about $250 to $1,000, and bed bug treatment about $1,000 to $4,000. But the real value is the customer who stays. Quarterly service runs about $100 to $300 per visit, so one plan customer can be worth roughly $400 to $1,200 a year. That means the math on SEO can work out well, as long as you are not overpaying for activity that never turns into calls.
The bottom line
Pest control SEO is worth it for most companies, but the headline price tells you almost nothing on its own. Look past the monthly fee to the pricing model, what is included, and how results are measured.

Frequently asked questions
- How much does pest control SEO cost per month?
- Most SEO providers charge a monthly fee. In an Ahrefs poll of 439 SEO providers, about 69% of those charging a monthly fee charged $2,000 a month or less, and about 31% charged more. The wide range mostly reflects different pricing models and overhead. What matters is your cost per lead and per booked job, not the headline fee.
- Is pest control SEO worth the money?
- For most pest control companies, yes, because one customer can be worth far more than the first visit once they sign up for a recurring plan. Quarterly service runs about $100 to $300 per visit, or roughly $400 to $1,200 a year. The key is making sure what you pay turns into leads and booked jobs, not just activity.
- Why do pest control SEO prices vary so much?
- Prices vary because of pricing models and overhead, not just quality. Some agencies charge a flat monthly fee no matter what happens. Others pair a base fee with a fee per lead. A high price does not guarantee better work, and a low price can mean thin, automated effort. Look at what is included and how success is measured.
